I was raised and educated in upstate New York.  After graduating from college I enlisted into the military serving in both the United States Navy and United States Army.  Serving my country as a soldier and sailor was one of the greatest privileges of my lifetime.

After I completed my military obligations I worked for Federal Civil Service in the area of Equal Employment Opportunity.  It was a very satisfying career working in the early years of Civil Rights.  Many times I was humbled by the courage and vision of people willing to do the right thing at the right time.

While working in Maine, God called me to serve as minister. Founded in 1803, Turner Center Universalist Church is one of the oldest active churches Maine.  I served as their pastor for 13 years.  I am presently the Assistant Pastor of Daybreak United Methodist Church in Mifin.

I began working in education in 1993.  All of that time has been spent working in Special Education and Library Assistance.  While working at Oak Hill High School in Maine, I coached the sports of tennis, soccer, and softball.

Methyl Nolan is my wife and best friend.  We were married in 1972.  Kelly, our daughter, is Director of Sales for three radio stations in Norfolk, VA.

I love working at Elberta Middle School.  The community support is outstanding and the staff very professional.  This is an incredible learning environment for our children.
